Heka opened Sergeant Thomas Dion Way in 2021. Reports said a sign hung on the front door reads: "Thank you for your past support. We will miss all of you. Enjoy life. Be safe.”
The store sold recreational and medicinal marijuana.
Western Mass News reported that Heka dispensary employees have complained of unsafe and "potentially dangerous growing practices" at the company. They did not detail any of those alleged incidents.
Reports said the store's management had been involved in yearslong litigation with landlords and investors.
A call to the name on the business license was not immediately returned.
